You have doubts?

We solve them for you

  • How long is the full dry time?
Here are the full dry times for each product:
  • Do I have to add catalyst?
No, all our products are single component, which means that it is not necessary to add a catalyst. Just open and apply.
  • How should I prepare the surface before painting?
    1. Clean with CLEANER degreaser, rinse and dry. 2. Remove rust with sandpaper or chemicals. 3. Sandpaper to create a rough texture.
  • How long does the paint last?
Our product line has certifications: • ISO 12944:2018 - International standard on protection against corrosion of steel structures by means of protective paint systems. • UNE 48316:2020 - International certificate of solvent-based high-performance anticorrosive decorative enamels. According to these standards, the durability of our products is 10 years, while our PREMIUM enamel reaches 15 years.
  • How long should I wait between coats?
In most cases, one coat is adequate for a good result, although in some cases it is preferable to apply 2 coats for a superior finish. At Procrom we understand that painters value time. Our paints have very short recoat times:
  • Why should I trust Procrom?
Since 1968, at Procrom we have been paint manufacturers. We are part of Disolac of the company Roberlo SA. With decades of experience, we have perfected the creation of the highest quality paintings.
  • Do I have a guarantee?
Our paints are certified by ISO and UNE. This means that, with a correct application and normal conditions, the paint must remain intact during the mentioned years. It must be understood that quality standards may not be met if all application steps are not followed correctly. At Procrom we cannot control the application process in each case and therefore we cannot offer a guarantee of durability.
  • Should I apply more than one coat?
In general, our products offer an optimal final finish with a single coat. In certain cases, the texture or shape of the surface may require an additional coat. Time interval between coats varies by product; consult the label of the container or our frequently asked questions on the web.
  • Do I need a primer or base coat?
In general, the products of the Procrom line adhere directly to the metal, as long as the surface is properly prepared. WARNING: Check if the paint is suitable for your substrate, check the container label or this FAQ section. Not all enamels adhere the same to all metals. For example, for aluminum, PREMIUM enamel is applied without a primer, while SMOOTH enamel requires a MULTIPRIMER primer coat. For steel, both are applied directly.
  • Why is Procrom's PREMIUM nail polish the best?
Unlike other enamels, Procrom PREMIUM enamel has: 1. Durability of 15 years. 2. Direct adhesion to ALL metals (iron, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized and old paint). 3. Without catalyst or solvent. 4. Repainting time of 1h.
  • Can I get a specific color from the RAL chart?
Our color ranges are determined for each product and as a general rule you will only be able to obtain those products. If you have a project with a considerable volume of paint, you can contact us and we can specifically manufacture the color you need from the RAL chart.
  • What materials does my product adhere to?
Below, a table details the adherence of each product according to the material. If the enamel is not suitable for your substrate, combine it with a coat of MULTIPRIMER primer.
  • Do I have to add solvent?
In general, Procrom products are ready to use (open and apply) without the need to add solvent. We understand that every painter has their own style, so if you prefer a more fluid consistency, you can thin the enamels with our CLEANER thinner.
  • What tools do I need?
It is important for your safety to wear gloves and a mask during the application. Our products can be applied with a brush, roller or spray without the need for thinner.
